Responsible gambling — Galactic Wins Canada guide
Limits, self-exclusion, warning signs, and the Canadian helplines that can talk you through it. If gambling stops feeling like entertainment, this page is the first stop.

Playing responsibly
Online casinos like Galactic Wins are entertainment. They cost money in the same way movies, concerts or restaurant meals do — the difference is the variable outcome, which can mask the cost. The first principle of responsible gambling is to treat the spend as entertainment expense, set the limit before you start, and stop when the limit is hit. Winning is a bonus; the budget is the boundary.
Limits Galactic Wins let us you set
Every Canadian account has these controls in "My account → Responsible gambling". You can set them without contacting support and they take effect immediately:
- Daily / weekly / monthly deposit limit — caps how much you can move into the account in a rolling window. Tightening is instant; loosening takes effect after a 24-hour cooling-off period.
- Loss limit — caps total losses in a window. Once hit, real-money play is blocked until the window resets.
- Session limit — caps continuous play time. You are auto-logged out at the limit; cannot log back in for a defined cooldown.
- Wagering limit — caps total bets placed in a window, useful if you want to control activity even when you are net up.
- Reality check — pop-up reminder every 15, 30 or 60 minutes showing time played and net result.
Self-exclusion
If limits are not enough, self-exclusion locks the account for a defined period or permanently. Galactic Wins offers four options: 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, permanent. Permanent self-exclusion cannot be reversed by the casino; you would need to write to the MGA's player protection team to request a review, and approval is far from guaranteed.
During self-exclusion: no logins, no deposits, no marketing emails. Any pending withdrawals are processed normally. Open bets settle on their result but new bets cannot be placed.
Warning signs to take seriously
If you recognise more than one of these, consider a self-exclusion period and a conversation with a helpline:
- Spending more than the budget you set at the start of the session.
- Borrowing money — from credit cards, friends, or a line of credit — to keep playing.
- Chasing losses ("one more deposit and I will get even").
- Lying to family or friends about how often or how much you play.
- Feeling restless or irritable when not playing.
- Missing work, study or social commitments because of gambling.
- Playing to escape stress or low mood, rather than for entertainment.

Our role
galactic-wins-casino.ca is an affiliate review site, not a treatment provider. We cannot set limits on your Galactic Wins account or initiate self-exclusion on your behalf — you have to do that from inside the casino's account dashboard, or by writing to Galactic Wins support directly. What we can do is point you to the right tools and helplines, which is what this page is for.
